PTP are offer a low volume assembly facility that can take raw components and build them into complete assemblies, this unique service can not only be used to compliment the low volume component supply we offer; but over the years has been developed into a service that will save you time and money.
Most components are made up from a number of smaller components that were either manufactured and built into an even larger assembly by the original supplier or would be purchased from a multitude of suppliers and then assembled on a large production line
As demand for older components is reduced it becomes harder to source parts from the original supplier, this results in having to find new suppliers, the after effect of this means that lead time and supply and cost can increase significantly or worst still no stock being available stopping production or keeping vehicles off the road.
Because of our involvement in the continued supply of components and engines to some of the most recognised British Niche Vehicle Manufactures PTP has created relationships with a large number of low volume suppliers and these relationship enable PTP to offer the unique but very important service of offering low to mid volume component and engine assembly build on site at PTP.
The service that PTP offers can be as simple as pressing a bush into a tie bar, assembling an oil filter housing, building a strip engine into a full engine and even building an engine from a kit of components into a fully dressed full engine for production fitment. Some of the projects we have worked on include:
- Land Rover’s V8 engine build
- Land Rover V8 head build
- Land Rover 300TdI engine build
- Land Rover V8 oil filter housing
- Land Rover 300 TDI inlet manifold
- K Series Motor sport production runs
- MG Rover MGF tie rod arms
